Julie and Kim Mercer got married at the Worcester Whitehouse Hotel. They've been talking to us about their big day - you can uncover their story here.
The staircase was a brilliant feature for our photography.
We met through Facebook, and dated after a short period of conversation.
Kim took me to see Anton Du Beke and Erin Boag (from strictly come dancing) at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham for a Valentine's present in 2015. Little did I know that he had arranged to go up on stage where he proposed in front of thousands of people. We went to the Whitehouse afterwards for a valentines meal to celebrate with family.
Mainly word and mouth, but we also attended various wedding fayres. Our daughter was also married at the Whitehouse the year before, so were more than satisfied.
The staircase was a brilliant feature for our photograph's. Lovely food (especially the roast potatoes). Afternoon tea is a favourite of ours so we had this for our evening meal, but most of all we knew our special day would be perfect with Ahmed and Irfan in charge (their attention to detail is second to none), and their team gave us 100% attention (esp Ryan)
Kim's face when I reached him as I walked up the aisle.
Don't leave things until the last minute as it soon comes around. It's the little things that can take your time/planning....and BOTH get involved from the start. The venue, dress, guests are easy....the table decorations/invitations can take a lot of time.
We chose a charity for donations instead of gifts and we also donated money and had 'Starlight' badges instead of chocolates for favours
The day was so relaxing
Our guests from Poland, Scotland, and Wales were made to feel very welcome.
We had control of the music during our ceremony and even had our own live music during the evening which was fabulous.
We actually stayed another night to recover and to celebrate valentines 2016 with a lovely meal, in the restaurant together.
